Seeker Guide — Hunt & Spot Techniques
Learn to scan, identify fakes, and efficiently clear maps as a Seeker.
Core Seeking Principles
- Scan for Color Mismatches: Look for colors that don't quite match the environment — slightly off hues, wrong saturation.
- Check Corners First: Most hiders gravitate toward corners, wall edges, and clutter zones. Clear these high-probability areas first.
- Switch Camera Views: Toggle between FPP (First-Person) and TPP (Third-Person) views. FPP helps with fine detail scanning; TPP gives wider awareness.
- Look for Unnatural Shadows: A hider's shadow may not align with environment lighting. Check shadow direction and softness.
- Watch for Micro-Movements: Even the best hiders sometimes twitch. Watch suspicious objects for 2-3 seconds.
- Sweep High-Traffic Zones Early: Clear popular hiding areas first, then methodically cover the rest of the map.
- Tag Carefully: False tags waste precious seconds and give surviving hiders more time. Be sure before you tag.
Map-Specific Tips
Mansion
Check behind pillars, inside the library shelves, and near the horse statue. Hiders often pose as furniture.
Indoor Country
Look among cow standees and hay bales. Hiders blend with barn textures and green crates.
Sewer
Dark pipe sections are prime spots. Check wall-stone corners and behind oil barrels.
Backrooms
Wall bikes, chair stacks, and vending machines are common hides. Ceiling lights can obscure hiders.
