Advanced Camouflage
Take your hiding to the next level with lighting, texture matching, and psychological tactics.
Lighting Mastery
- Study the Light Sources: Each map has fixed light sources. Identify them during prep and plan your paint gradient accordingly.
- Shadow Side vs. Lit Side: Your body's lit side should be ~20-30% brighter than the shadow side. Use the eyedropper on both lit and shadowed areas of the same wall.
- Ambient Occlusion: Areas where walls meet floors or objects touch surfaces are naturally darker. Add subtle dark patches where your body contacts surfaces.
Pattern & Texture Matching
Checkered Floors
Use the pattern brush to replicate tile patterns. Align the pattern direction with the floor grid.
Wallpaper
Match repeating wallpaper patterns. Pay attention to pattern scale — zoom in to get it right.
Wood Grain
Replicate wood textures by painting alternating light/dark stripes following the grain direction.
Brick & Stone
Paint individual brick outlines or stone textures. Time-consuming but nearly impossible to spot.
Psychological Tactics
- Hide in Plain Sight: Sometimes the most obvious spot is the least checked. Seekers often skip "too obvious" locations.
- Use Distractions: If other hiders are found first, seekers may let their guard down — stay disciplined.
- Change Spots Between Rounds: Seekers remember where they found hiders last round. Rotate your hiding spots.
